£500 Charity Fundraiser

Raeyah’s Hands of Support is a small charity, based in Bristol. It was set up by one of our Phat Lads members, Kevin Rice and his partner Becky in memory of their 4-year-old daughter Raeyah who sadly lost her battle with cancer earlier this year. When we spoke to Kevin earlier this month, we were not only immensely moved by their tragic story of loss but also hugely inspired by the unbelievable strength they have shown to create a charity to support other children with autism going through cancer treatment and turning their daughter’s passing into something positive for others facing a similar almost unimaginable and difficult journey. Their charity provides shopping vouchers for families and entertainment packages for children to help make their lives a little less stressful and easier when faced with lengthy hospital stays during cancer treatment. Kevin told us “During Raeyah’s cancer treatment it was the little things that carried our daughter through her awful time always kept her smiling regardless and we want to help other children to keep smiling” Kevin is the fundraising king so we wanted the rest of the Phat Lads community to rally round and do our bit to help him, to raise awareness of their cause and raise lots money for what they do. Every penny raised from every ticket sold from this competition will be donated to help Kevin & Becky to carry on their amazing work.
