RECENT WORK
When Ant Scalise reached out to us we were only to happy to help with his cause.
Ant is driving around in his truck, collecting any items people can donate so he can give to the homeless and anyone else who is in need locally.
we were able to donate clothes, sleeping bags, tents, hats, scarfs, gloves to his cause.
We are able to make such donations all thanks to our players.
We were able to donate a large food donation to help towards Sam over at Taylor Made Salon.
Sam and her lovely colleagues are taking the time out of their busy working period to make up a large number of food hampers for families in need this year.
Sam and her staff will be hand delivering the hampers before Christmas Day.
Some of the Phatlads Team were at The Potteries Centre as the Christmas event in town had begun and what a wonderful time we had.
We handed out lots of Christmas cards to members of the public including the small businesses that had set up inside the centre.
Each card had £10 inside for them to spend however they liked to help spread some Christmas cheer.
It was so wonderful to see so many happy and smiley faces.
As promised we went back to Swan Bank Methodist Church and met with Liz Thompson who helps to manage the centre.
We were able to donate Tents, Sleeping bags, hats, gloves, scarfs and plenty of new toiletries for the homeless.
Our players are the ones that make these kind donations happen. We couldn't do it without you.
Thank you.
Half term didn't stop Viv making our weekly food bank donation. She took her children along with her who were excited to help.
They all got to meet the lovely Paul who took some time out of his day to show them around Swan Bank and how it is run.
Not only is it a foodbank centre but they also offer free help and advice with money worries, funding to cut down energy bills, free cafe to use and free cooking lessons.
Food is not the only items they are in need of, this time of year especially they now also request items of warm clothing for the homeless.
Paul was told that Phatlads Competitions would be visiting again with said items.
when one of our members Lisa got in touch asking for our help, within an hour Reece and Viv had a trolley full of gift sets.
They were then donated to Stoke On Trent's council Next Step Team. They help to provide support to young people in care from the age of 16.
We were able to do this because of you guys, thank you to all of our players that make this possible.
I got to Visit Grace Church on Clough St, Hanley. Met with two of the lovely volunteers Isaac and Rebecca.
They very kindly took some time out to show me how their foodbank operates at their center.
Due to you guys I was able to make a large donation to help out the foodbank and our community.
